Architecture in Chile

There is a project under way in which the best Chilean architects were invited to design their dream house. Four (out of eight) houses are ready and open to the public to visit. There will be a second stage where the best international architects were chosen and they will design their dream out here in Chile. It's a unique project and really spectacular for us in Chile given that we are so far away from top design and architecture.

Old Sydney Town

This was taken at Old Sydney Town in 1988. Not sure when. The only thing I remember that day is Kellie and Marivi chasing after the 'red coats'. And after the photo came out you guys called me the 'fly'.
I just don't suit sunglasses. Stu still makes fun of me now!

Family Party

Ok. This is going to be a short version. Everytime I try and load photos this stupid thing crashes!! Happens at home and at work.

Had party for my husband, his sister and my brother-in-law. Their birthdays are around the same time.

The two dogs are my sister-in-laws. Basil and Teddy.

Italian Class

These photos were taken on 23 March 1989. I think it must have been Marivi's Italian farewell.

Look out for some more photos coming. I have tried to upload them at home and the PC crashed. Tried to upload them from work and the PC went weird again. Will keep you posted.

I'm here!! Can't believe I finally made it!!

Hi girls,

Well, it only took me a few weeks, but I've finally managed to get on here (with quite a bit of help from you both). I suppose now it is even more clear that I am by far the least tech-literate of the group! And, being the HR Manager in an IT company, that probably isn't a good thing!

Marivi - I'm glad you had such a great birthday. Apols that I wasn't organise enough to get a card to you but I promise I'll make it up for Xmas!

Not a lot happening in my world at the moment. Work is extra busy and a lot of my personal time is being taken up by looking for a unit to buy.

And, back home, my grandfather is very unwell. I know it sounds cliche, but I really feel so helpless, particularly being this far away from him and the family. It all seems a bit surreal.

Anyway, good to be able to finally join you both on here and looking forward to many future postings!

Another Birthday

This year it was a "happy" birthday, not like last that I spent a week crying over my break-up. I was celebrated at work with cake and then lunch with everyone. At night, my good friend from uni (masters degree), organized a dinner party at a really nice place and all my close friends that lived in Santiago came. We were a group of 12 and we had a fantastic time, laughed a lot and enjoyd nice food. What really made the night for me was that two different group of friends (school and post-grad uni) met and really enjoyed the night, that was the best present.

Unfortunatly there are no photos however take my word for it: we had a great time and the food was delicious.
